My Name is Tyron, Ty, T, Coach TY, but my favorite name is Dad!
Who am I? I am a Assistant Coach for Mens Basketball at URI, I have two amazing boys and an Outstanding, supportive wife! This is my 3rd season as a coach here. My Life to some might seem GREAT! and it is when we are talking about my kids, my wife, and me working when it really doesn't seem like work, since I actually Love what I do. However its not always Sunshine and fresh roses. My job takes me away often, so it makes for some sad faces at times.
How did this start? I grew up playing sports, thats practically what got me through life, and its where I met my Wife. ( I think I just made a little rhyme there :) ) Anyway sports has always been a passion of mines, so much that I started coaching. It went from young school age kids, to High School, Division 3 College , AAU, and now here I am coaching Division 1 College basketball.
Why do I do this? It all comes down to 3 things, Im giving back ( Mentoring) , I love the game, and I get to support and provide for my family doing what I love and dreamed of.
Is it hard? YES!! But its Defenitlty worth it!!
